Mr. Lan has expertise and extensive experience in handling international commercial arbitration and litigation, he has represents lots of famous domestic and foreign companies in China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Hong Kong Arbitration Center and Arbitration Court of International Chamber of Commerce and different People's Court of China at any levels for many cases, involving all kinds of disputes in the fields of international trade, transportation and foreign investments.
With in-depth legal knowledge and abundant practice experience, Mr. Lan is one of the leading lawyers who participated in the anti-dumping investigations in China , since he worked in the anti-dumping field from 1997. He took a major job in the Chinese first and second anti-dumping complaint cases and later he successfully represented more than 17 anti-dumping complaint cases in China i.e. Polyester staple fiber, Polyester chip, Acrylate, Caprolactam, Coated art paper, Pathalic anhydride, Cold rolled steel plate, TDI, Phenol, Dispersion unshifted single-mode optical fiber, Unbleached kraft linerboard, etc. On the other hand, Mr. Lan represented many Chinese producers/exporters jointly or individually in responding to foreign anti-dumping investigations in cooperation with foreign lawyers, i.e. Shanghai Baosteel, Tianjin Pipe, Beijing Minmetals, Taifa, etc. and obtained favorable results as well in the end.
In the field of foreign investment, Mr. Lan has been legal counsel for many foreign-invested companies and provided legal services for foreign companies intends to invest in China, including making due diligence research, participating business negotiations, drafting legal documents, and handling disputes in relation to establishment, capital contribution, operation and liquidation of foreign invested companies.
In addition, Mr. Lan is knowledgeable and experienced in field of competition law. He did lots of research and publicized some these in this field and provided legal service and handled some disputes in this field as well, i.e. representing Chinese steel companies in the antitrust case in the USA , representing China Industry Associations against unfair competition, etc.
